Project
WALLA
“WALLA” is a space started in Kodaira City, Tokyo in the summer of 2019 by Kazuki Oishi, Haruki Ohno, Kasumi Maeda, and Shuntaro Yoshino. It is a two-story detached house, and the four people who run it together usually use the second floor as their own studios, and the gallery space on the first floor is used to irregularly plan exhibitions and events. WALLA refers to the effect of so-called "extras" (=many other people), and is not the name of an artist group such as an artist collective, but rather a statement of principle. It was named as a word that refers only to a shared place that is not unified. Some people seek an environment where they can concentrate on creating their work alone, while others are able to maintain their motivation for creating by having a group. There are also people who are more interested in creating projects than creating works. It is shared as a place where these disparate desires can be achieved.

WALLA Board
"WALLA Board" was opened in February 2021 by the studio and space "WALLA" in Kodaira City, Tokyo. "WALLA Board" is WALLA's new "exhibition wall" on the web, and is a public and viewing page for all kinds of text expressions. Here we occasionally publish reviews, novels, essays, poems, screenplays, interviews, diaries, etc.
